Larry Scheinfeld founded the New York City branch of Quellos Group, where he was also a financial advisor. His wife, Jane Scheinfeld, is a graduate of Syracuse University and a member of the Guggenheim Museum International Director's Council.

Jane Scheinfeld presides over The Larry and Jane Scheinfeld Foundation, acknowledged by many as a generous financier of others' causes. The Larry and Jane Scheinfeld Foundation particularly contributes to Jewish causes and Jewish culture.
