Urban Education Grants - A third of the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation's grants are focused on helping institutions for education and advancement of literacy. In the US, this philanthropic organization has integrated initiatives to enhance student performance in urban school districts, let alone supported charter schools. Most of all, the foundation has delivered college scholarships through the one-of-a-kind Dell Scholars Program. Children in India are likewise beneficiaries of universal primary education and activities for life skills development.

Childhood Health Grants - MSDF contributes to improving children's access to clean water, sanitation and healthcare both in the US and in India. Over 100 million children in India alone wallow in unsanitary conditions. On the other pole, many American children are suffering from obesity and Type 2 diabetes. The Michael & Susan Dell Center for Advancement of Healthy Living, Dell Children's Medical Center and The Dell Pediatric Research Institute are recipients, more or less, of a $65 million-grant for such purposes.

Family Economic Stability Grants - The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation has committed its financing program to families in India. Of the idea that micro-loans could make a difference in a family's future, the foundation has pledged $7 million for India's slums to avail of quality microfinance services and other opportunities to goad entrepreneurship.
